“Smart Home” - Does anyone have experience installing smart home components and can recommend?
NEST has a somewhat expensive solution and I would like to know if anyone has used another company and / or made a combination of different companies in one house - including devices that know how to work together or communicate with the HUB.
This refers to components such as: smart thermostat, control unit (HUB), temperature sensor, lock, motion and camera sensors, alarm, and the like.
The NEST package costs about $ 2000 and I wanted to know if anyone bought and satisfied with it and whether it was easy or complex to install.
Thanks

I am very pleased with the Ecobee smart thermostat. It has a convenient Touch interface in Nest to Nest that uses a dial. It has open source so its upgrades are fast and it has more features but it seems to me it's like Android versus iPhone - the less technological one will go with the design and simplicity i.e. Nest. A certain advantage of Nest is that Google acquired them
The package is expensive but very easy to install. For what purpose do you need it, for your home or a rented apartment?
My brother has all kinds of systems in my house.
I'll check with him if he's interested in helping.
Speak to me in detail.
You should also try Google Hub and its compatible items
I'm just checking the subject. Checks Israeli system with adjustments for several American products. Most things will work in Z-WAVE.
You can also test a system of Control 4, they have deals to contractors of more than ten apartments.
