If you have a private account in the US and in the country
Independent check role
Assuming you have a bank account in your name abroad and an account in your name in Israel, the cheapest and most convenient way I found is through Ofakim.
Customer service is available and meets immediately, significant convenience fees vis-a-vis the bank,
I would point out that my wife worked for a bank, and in low-cost commissions, Ofakim came out cheaper.
(If it comes to withdrawing small amounts, the cheapest I have to pull from an ATM in the country dollars)
Best of luck!
Friends and small disclaimer. What I say is my own opinion. I do work at the bank and can be interpreted as a position or advice and it is not.
In my previous position as department manager and deputy in the branch I conducted negotiations on these issues and for the most part the 2 parties came out satisfied so my recommendation and personal opinion is always to compare
Instead of going through outside companies that will supposedly show you a discounted rate from the bank's rate, enter the bank branch, talk pleasantly with a manager and go out in a win-win situation for both parties who will benefit from the deal. Like everything it's a matter of negotiation
I know Claire Sheft and Cobrasy.
In Claire Shifet I did not use myself and Cobras Yes and paid if I remember correctly 0.6% of the transfer screen.
From an examination I made at Clear, the costs were similar, but I do not remember exactly.
