Every year, Atlas Van Lines (one of the largest moving companies in the US) provides us with information on migration data within the US. The company mainly moves houses within the US from state to state. The company tracks/counts how many trucks/house movers they have made to each state and from each state and actually sees migration data within the US.
It is recommended to follow. If you look at the last few years, you mainly see a trend of movement towards the southern and western states. And a contraction of the Northeast and Midwest.
Red – Balanced country
Blue – Positive migration
Yellow – negative migration (“abandonment”)

Very interesting, thank you?
An interesting angle for analyzing immigration.
It's interesting how much this overlaps with other sources of information (regarding positive/negative immigration at the country level).
And what about immigration at the county or metropolitan level?
