There is no connection in terms of a wooden house, it is usually insured with premium dp3 insurance, which is a structure, comprehensive and third party insurance.
If close to the river recommends adding insurance against flooding, today some companies are also insuring against flooding otherwise this is the insurance of the State.
If you have not renovated much of the property, I recommend adding contents insurance - around $ 500 and each operation is about $ 100, but gives a lot of peace…

My apartment is in a 55+ condo and the building is insured through the HOA payments.
I suppose the interior of the apartment should also be insured against damage from water and fire.
