Our Formula For Success

Set Goals So Big They Feel Impossible
Everyone knows that setting goals is one of the most important factors for success.
I would add: set goals that feel completely out of reach!
People tend to anchor themselves to numbers.
Let’s do a quick exercise so you can see what I mean:
Say out loud:
$100,000
$200,000
$500,000
$1,000,000
$10,000,000
$100,000,000
$1,000,000,000
Did you notice how hard it was to say one billion dollars?
You probably said it more quietly or hesitated.
Now go back and say ten million dollars.
Feels much easier now, right? “Cheap!”
That’s because your brain anchored to the bigger number.
The same happens in real life:
During the pandemic, gas prices in my area dropped to 50 cents a liter.
“Cheap!”
But we couldn’t drive anywhere due to lockdowns.
Later, when the war in Ukraine started, gas prices spiked to $2.50 per liter.
Everyone complained: “So expensive!”
Then it dropped to $1.50 and suddenly everyone said:
“What a bargain!”
No one remembered the 50 cents anymore — our brains got used to the higher number.
Our personal example:
When we started in real estate, our coach asked us about our goals.
We said:
“We want to buy two properties a year.”
He asked us to double it.
Then double it again.
And again.
In the end, we were able to close eight real estate deals in one year!
The takeaway?
Set goals way bigger than you think are possible.
Your brain — and your results — will rise to meet them.
